He studied music at the Conservatory of Barcelona, philosophy and musicology at the UAB and Liturgy at the Faculty of Theology of Catalonia. He is the director of the Laboratory of Musicology and the Music Lecture Hall of Lleida. His research focuses primarily on liturgical monodic medieval repertoire, plainsong of the 15th and 16th centuries and the music printing and typography in the Iberian Peninsula. He is director of "DeMusica" collection of Edition Reichenberger Demus (Kassel) and responsible for others publishing series devoted to music studies and musicology. Member of the "International Musicological Society Study Group Cantus Planus" and various scientific societies ("International Musicological Society", "Spanish Society of Musicology", "Catalan Society of Musicology-IEC"). Is part of the research group in Medieval Studies "Espai, poder i cultura".
